"…studies confirm that the implementation of Safe Patient Handling and Movement Programs in health-care settings significantly reduces and prevents incidents of musculoskeletal injuries among caregivers."

LONG TERM CARE

In 2000, OSHA's Ergonomic Rule proposal built awareness about the injury exposures in long term care.  In the past 12 years, millions of dollars have been spent on the purchase of mechanical lifts and thousands of caregivers have completed training on the use and function of the equipment.  Despite these efforts, long term care continues to be one of the most hazardous workplaces in America.

As of May 2012, Prevent, Inc.'s "Get A Lift!"® Program has been implemented in more than 700 long term care facilities.

The dramatic and sustained reduction of caregiver injuries related to resident handling is the evidence which supports the effectiveness of our service.
